WORK INCENTIVES PLANNING & ASSISTANCE
Persons with disabilities often fear going to work thinking they may lose government benefits and Medicaid or Medicare. Staff from the Benefits Planning, Assistance, and Outreach (BPA&O) program at Southwestern Independent Living Center will be available at the Chautauqua Works One-Stop facilities in December 2006. Staff will consult with persons with disabilities who are receiving Supplemental Security Income (SSI) and/or Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI) benefits who are considering ging to work. A benefits planner will be available from 12pm to 3pm.
