The Disability Resource Coordinator can assist with these and other questions on your path to employment.

The Disability Resource Coordinator is:

An employment network who provides employment services to Social Security beneficiaries between the ages of 18-64 with disabilities. These beneficiaries are called Ticket Holders.

A resource who helps find programs that impact your ability to gain, return to, or retain employment.

A facilitator who helps youth and adults with disabilities secure employment and become self-sufficient.

A coordinator who develops partnerships with local agencies to increase job placement opportunities for individuals with disabilities by arranging appropriate services.

A relationship builder who reaches out and engages new agencies and organizations to expand employment related services for individuals with disabilities.

The Disability Resource Coordinator can:

Provide information about employment and training services available through the local American Job Center, including:

Up-to-Date Career Information
Step-by-Step Job Search Assistance
Computerized Job Listings
Free Access to Computers, Phones, Fax
Free Access to Assistive Devices
Connect you with employers to find the right job for your individual skills


Refer you to local support services that help meet your employment goals, such as:

Social Security Work Incentives
Benefits Planning Assistance
Medicaid Buy-In Program
Housing Assistance
Transportation Options
Child Care
Work-Site Accommodations
Other Initiatives

Assist in resume development, interview preparation, and job placement through the Ticket to Work Program.

Offer information about protection and advocacy services for individuals with disabilities.

To help individuals with disabilities take advantage of programs and support services to get and keep a job that allows them to be self-supporting.
